What is an Art Ceremony?
Art Ceremony is a gathering of intentional artists coming together to create artwork as a spiritual practice, weaving community prayers. When the community collectively gathers and enters a "Flow State," we tap into the group's collective consciousness, enhancing and amplifying our prayers and visions. The theme for this ceremony is "Fire."
Your host, Veronika, guides you on a safe and profound journey to gain insights and delve deeper into your artwork and self by blending traditions of Visionary Art, mysticism, and Red Road practices.
What to Expect:
We have limited spacing for this event, so please arrive 15 minutes early to select your artist space, gather your materials, and set up. Upon arrival, you will be greeted and then "smudged" with copal. Afterward, you can place your gear inside. Choose to sit on the floor, at a table, or stand at an easel. While limited table access is available, if you have difficulty getting up and down off the floor, please opt for a table. If you are capable, kindly reserve the tables for those who need them.
The event will commence with brief introductions and an art demo, followed by intention setting. We will then observe one hour of silence to allow everyone to work undisturbed and enter a flow state. World Music and Medicine Ceremony Music will play during the event. Snacks and cacao will be shared, and you're encouraged to bring snacks to share as well. Several breaks will be incorporated during the event to allow for stretching and bathroom breaks. Please remain quiet during the ceremony so you do not pull anyone else out of focus.
What to Bring:
Bring your personal art supplies (we will have limited supplies at the venue), easels, floor pillows that can withstand paint, comfortable clothes that can get paint on them, tarps, items for the creativity altar, snacks to share, and cash if you need to purchase additional art supplies or artwork. Bring a project you can work on for at least 3 hours, and consider bringing other projects in case you finish your current one. Some approved art supplies include Acrylic Paints, Watercolor, charcoal, colored pencils, knitting, iPad, and feather wrapping. However, at this time, we cannot permit Spray Paint, Oil paints, Airbrushes, art supplies that create strong fumes, or any loud machinery.
Price- $64.99
